Random Thoughts

  1. I have been following the KBC since season 1 and have observed that among the people I know, only the middle class has enough knowledge and time to attempt for the show. Many rich people do not bother with the show at all. Could be one of the reason...

Very thought provoking blog from you Sir.

  3. The last para nicely rounds up the whole article. I too felt it was a deliberate move to include only the poor and those from villages in KBC this time. Do the sponsors realise they are making many many more poor by wasting time and money on calls to KBC for selection? It is a lot like lottery. And Swami Agnivesh! That was the silliest joke of them all, entering the house of Big Boss.

  5. We have reached such a stage that business leaders have approached the government with an agenda for renewal. The current government instead of focussing on governance is floundering in hopeless confusion.

Will a change of government improve things? I doubt it.

  8. I have a love-hate relationship with the Newspaper - the headlines are usually sickening. One wonders how the common man puts up with so much nonsense from thugs in power. Ugh!

    That last paragraph was perfect.

  10. Acknowledging the mess we are in and understanding the reasons why we are in the mess is a first step towards correcting our lives, times and society. The natural tendency is to blame the system, the politicians, the corporates, but the system is made up of us, we are the ones who elect the politicians to power, and we are the ones who ensure that the corporates have a market. Growth begins where blaming ends. Thanks, Sir, for an extremely thought provoking post.
